There are many kind of poetries and theres different times when poetry is written. Usually, poetry expresses feelings.

There are many different ways of writing poetry. There are Acrostic Poetry,Couplets, Haiku, Free Style and much more. My favorite is Free Style, in a free style poem you can write a poem without thinking about the template.

A Acrostic poem is the first letters of the word your describing going vertically down.

For example:
Digging in my backyard

Open for love

Got four puppies

Couplets is a two line poem that envolves a ryming end.

For example:

I love my tabby cat

But all she loves is those ugly rats

A Haiku poem is when there is 5 syllables in the first line, 7 syllables in the second line, and 5 syllables in the third line.

For example:

As i do my best

I cannot force her to it

she will live with it

Free style is when you can write anything in a poetry

For example:

The hurt, the wounds, the danger of death

One little bruise, and your out of breath

Tearing the world apart

is not that smart

one fight, one bottle, one knife

can forever change your life

With the damages, the injuries, the outraged pain

You can say you just caught the devil's train

Violence can be as big as a gang fight

Or as small as killing a termite.

Whatever the case is

we need to say no to violence
